Since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, government all over the world have been coming out with measures to curb the spread of the disease. In line with this, there are rules for travelers visiting Amsterdam and exploring restaurants, museums, bars, nightclubs, theatres, etc. You need to keep in mind that these regulations may change depending on the developing circumstances. Ensure to check traveling safely in Amsterdam for the current official guidelines.
Essential rules for the COVID-19 in Amsterdam
• Avoid busy places as much as possible 
• Wear a face mask whenever you’re in public spaces.
• Always maintain a distance of about 1.5 metres between you and other people.
• Leave any place where it’s difficult to keep a distance of 1.5 metres.
• Wash your hands regularly.
• Avoid shaking hands with others.
• Cough and sneeze into your elbow or clean handkerchief.
• If you feel sick, stay inside your home or hotel and call the attention of a medical personnel.
COVID-19 Precautions for Travelling to Amsterdam
Visitors coming from safe countries (low COVID-19 risk) are welcome in the Netherlands. You must be able to present a negative Covid-19 test result taken not later than 72 hours before arriving into Amsterdam. If you’re entering into Amsterdam from countries or regions with high COVID-19 infection rates, you’ll be asked to self-quarantine for 10 days. 

Only vaccinated travelers from high risk regions, will not be required to quarantine upon arrival. Ensure to visit government.nl for the current COVID-19 travel protocols and regulations.

You can move around the city on foot or by bicycle for short journeys whenever possible.
