So I decided to setup an cloud-based bot service for automating social media activity in order to earn some cash to help my way through college; nothing big. I've got it all figured out pretty much, except for the really technical IT stuff. I know running a service like this goes against the ToS of most (if not all) social networks out there. So how do services like these keep operating? I've heard about renting bulletproof (or spam complaint ignorant) VPS services abroad, but I'm not quite sure if just that'll do. For instance, would Instagram be able to track me down if I were operating a website (and bot) on a bulletproof vps? Do you guys recommend any other security measures? I'm trying to avoid legal issues as much as possible.
