My 21 month old is not speaking yet everything else is normal. We had him evaluated and the concern is that he has a tongue tie issue. Its funny because my son latched on perfectly and never had an issue so it was never a consideration for us in why he is delayed in speech. The plan is to encourage him stretching/using the area with a therapist and if that does not work then look into surgery. I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and what resolved it in your situation, surgery or just exercises? Any other thoughts or issues you ran into? Thank you!
