Last week I had a chance to visit Golden to do a live YouTube video with a blogger for work. I build aquarium lights for a living and have been lucky enough to piggy back a couple days dedicated to fishing. I flew in Thursday and hopped in a Uber to my buddies house in Golden. We jumped in his car to a lake I found on Google maps only an hour away. The lake was ruffly 11.5-12K up with a heck of a hike. This was my friends first time fly fishing so I was keeping my fingers crossed that this lake had fish! The last forum post I could find was from 2009. Needless to say it was incredible!
This will be a trip I will never forget. Sight casting for brookies. I missed a couple larger guys but landed the best looking brookie I have caught. My buddy almost landed a couple fish but fumbled when trying to get them for a photo. Barbless will do that! Thanks
