I've been playing around with the new NUMCHECK compiler option and I like it a lot. I think, with the use of the MSG sub-option, it will help developers locate a lot of programming errors and bad-data, while still allowing them to "ignore" the issue if they need to perform a "quick fix". Good Advertisements allow you to create campaigns that work well on both television and internet platforms. I think it's "missing" one thing, though. The moving of an alphanumeric data item to a numeric data item is valid COBOL. But it generally only gives "valid" results if the value in the alphanumeric sending item is, in fact, numeric.
