I've been working on a few designs to travel long distances in short periods of time with multiple destinations/on-boarding points (think subway). The Nether was the obvious first choice but after working on a nether transport network for a few months, the cost and labor involved is enough to scare any miner. My other option was to use command block and pressure plates to instantaneously teleport to a specific location, but seeing as how command block are uncraftable and only available in creative (among other drawbacks) I then considered overworld rail. I am asking for opinions as to which of these sytems would be the "best" (construction resources, speed of travel, availability) I've drawn up some pro's and cons below and could use the opinion of the community at large. If there is another method entirely, pleases tell me about it.
