Trouble getting Portal 2.4.36 to run on Windows XP machine

Hi there,

  I just found out something about Python26.dll on windows; it appears to need the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package to run.

 I'm trying to install Portal on a Dell Latitude notebook computer running Windows XP. It installs okay, but when I attempt to run it I keep getting an error message s

 Please Help.
