I am going to Cuba with three friends, leaving from Cancun, in September. We are mostly interested in music, dance and cultural activities. Three of us are Spanish-speaking.
Because our time is limited to one week, I'm thinking a tour would be best. Does anyone have any suggestions for small or private tours/ tour guides that would get us to authentic musical venues and dance clubs, and maybe some lessons or sitting in on jams or participating in activities? I'm not even sure how to begin searching!
Also, I read that there are surcharges to change US dollars and that using Euros is better. Is that correct? What about Mexican pesos?
