Geneva is the second most populated city in Switzerland. It is located along the southern shores of Lac Leman. The city is popularly known as the center for international policy and diplomacy, and because of this, it is regarded as the Peace Capital of the world.

The train station also supports the Cornavin-Eaux-Vives-Annemasse route, also known as CEVA. Most trains to Geneva are operated by the national railways organization, Swiss Federal Railways. The five stations connect Geneva to other international destinations, some of which include Paris, Venice, Munich, Florence, and London.

Each of the five train stations in Geneva is owned and operated by Swiss Federal Railways. The Geneve-Cornavin is the primary station and it is also known as Geneva Central station. It is located in the center of the city and passengers can get to their destinations in any part of the city easily. Geneva Central station serves as a stop for Paris-Geneva and Lausanne-Geneva trains.

Geneva Airport railway station is another important train station in Geneva. The station connects directly to Geneva International Airport through a covered passageway. It also serves as the terminal for the Lausanne-Geneva route. Chene-Bourg train station is located outside the municipality but within Geneva territory. It serves as a stop for the CEVA trains.

Geneve-Secheron train station and Lancy-Pont-Rouge are the other train stations in Geneva. The former provides an additional stop for Lausanne-Geneva trains within the municipality, while the latter serves the CEVA route.
