Hi everyone, I have a question regarding baggage transfer within the UK to the US. I will be flying from Edinburgh to London via British Airways on one ticket and then from London to the US on another ticket via United Airlines. I understand they are not part of the alliance, but is it still possible to pay for a baggage transfer without going through security again? I'm not sure how Heathrow works, but would I essentially go through customs after exiting the Edinburgh-London flight?
