What was your first experience?

Because of some obscure YouTubers and Yogscast, my 7-year-old self found Minecraft. Wanting to get my hands on it as quick as possible, but without money, I must have gotten my, or my family's, computer pretty corrupted with viruses. As a Mac, it probably didn't get much, but man I went to some sketchy websites.

Eventually, I somehow got it but it ran at about 1 frame per 5 seconds. I dug a few blocks and poured some water until it crashed/I exited due to unplayability.

Pretty down but still determined, I eventually had my dad buy me a legit account. I was 7: my name combined the two things I liked the most. Pokemon and Kirby. "pokekirby67" was now an official Minecraft account, and I couldn't wait to play.

I don't remember if I really played singleplayer at all, but my first server still stays in my head. I don't remember the Ip or anything about it but the experiences I had and the people I met. The following parts are fuzzy.

As I remember, it was beta 1.7 or 1.8, and the spawn had statues of admins/owners of the server. The next bit of memory was my time in a village where I built my house. Not a Minecraft generated village, just a collection of houses. I think it was either a floating island or just really desolate - I found it hard to find trees. I scoured the lands for wood as I built my crappy house. It was a while before I even got a furnace, and for some reason, I made it accessible by two giant mushrooms that you had to jump across. I had a backyard secured by an iron door. I think I must've had someone put it in for me. I don't recall ever even mining. The backyard was fenced off with fences rising about 5 blocks high. I grew a tree there, probably helping out the no trees area thing.

I had a friend/neighbor in town, but I forget his name. He had a Captain America skin and was standing in an impressive house with a nice balcony when I asked how to get skins. After the grueling process of explaining it to a 7-year-old, I was able to get a Nyan Cat skin. (i was 7[don't judge])

The next part in my memory is completely gone, but I remember moving into an underground base. I found, or some of my friends found (again, this is super fuzzy) a tiny passageway into a small cave hidden by a lavafall. This is where we mined a hallway and made our homes in the sides of the caves. This is where the most impressive thing i've ever seen in minecraft at the time was: some guy living in our underground base made a HUGE room, and the weird part was, the floor, ceiling, walls, and upper floor were made out of... crafting tables.

I remember playing for hours on end. Another friend I remember is a guy with a donald duck skin. I think he was an admin/co-owner or something like that. He was good friends with me and the people I met and I think stayed in our underground base. My only real distinct memory is him saying that he heard tornado sirens and didn't know whether it was a test or real call. He lived in a tornado area.
