I just wanted to let you guys know that portal 2.4.37 under Ubuntu 12.10 Gnome shell does not show any menu bar. Thus, I can't do things like erase the Snappy image or flash firmware with a direct connected module.
I guess I'll have to switch my desktop to back to Unity when I want to do Portal work for now. That's gonna take some getting used to.
