Hey fellow SBO's I have a question regarding structuring my home based business. So I am in the process of starting a home based business as a sales agent for a Merchant services company. I am somewhat confused as to how I should structure this business venture. I was considering forming an LLC but was unsure if I could being that I would ultimately be working for a business as an independent sales agent. At any time while working as a agent I have the ability to expand my home based business , work out of an office away from home, and even hire employees. I also want to separate my personal funds from my business funds. I am aware in order to open a business account I would need a EIN number, which I would get once I formed either and LLC or sole proprietorship. My question would be, can I form an LLC while working as an agent of a business or is a sole proprietorship necessary in this situation. Just need a little guidance
I didn't get the right answer from the internet. References: https://www.smallbusinessforums.org/showthread.php?9170-LLC-or-Sole-proprietorship-HELP Professional Startup Video Pricing
